Dr. Kua obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore. He furthered his medical education by earning an MRCP in the UK and an MMed in Internal Medicine from NUS. He completed advanced training in interventional cardiology at Hammersmith Hospital in London.

Dr. Kua’s international training at Hammersmith Hospital provided him with extensive experience in complex coronary interventions and advanced cardiovascular research. His global standing is reflected in his numerous international fellowships:

• FSCAI: Elected Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions

Dr. Kua is deeply committed to medical education and holds academic appointments across Singapore’s leading medical schools. He serves as a Clinical Lecturer at both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU).

In addition to his private practice, he serves as a Senior Visiting Consultant for the Department of Cardiology at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS), and the Division of Cardiology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

He has received prestigious recognition for his skills, including Best Case Presenter awards at TCTAP in 2023 and 2024. His research is published in reputable journals such as the European Heart Journal and the European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He currently serves as the Secretary of the PCI Chapter for the Singapore Cardiac Society.
